October Ashes

It was a difficult October morning, a particularly raining one. There was a sea of umbrellas the other day, just when I was heading for work. All of us went the usual way, striped ones, black folded ones, and the usual long steel umbrella with a neutral color. And then, there I saw it, an umbrella like no other, a transparent one, with a yellow tint. I can just imagine having that umbrella. It was like you had the oozy feeling of rain drops falling on your face, without the iffy sensation of being wet. It was just like one of those moments- when you went for something, and it just worked. It was like caramel machiatto at 7 am. I thought to myself, I finally met my match.
In a society like ours when it takes a whole lot to be, there are people constantly trying to break the mould. Thank God for them. Unfortunately for this week, after a whole lot of events and brand analyses, I finally got this big book I've been waiting on for four years. Looking over it, it's quite clear that it wasn't worth the wait. Hahaha! (pun intended). I just had to think to myself, for yet another time, the University really did rock.
And for my beloved teammates, October 10 2010, brunch at 10:10 AM at the famous strip of the high street. Regardless of where we are, or where we work, we will see each other. Forgetting is tantamount to just that, forgetting about us, about our cherished past.
